Why AI-Enhanced resilience Matters
Data Protection Matters (DPM) will assess enterprises’ Strategies and Trends in AI-enhanced Resilience (STAR) — focusing on where AI is realistically expected to impact backup, disaster recovery, and cyber resilience programs over the next several years.
The research is designed to move beyond marketing narratives and capture how organizations actually evaluate, prioritize, and adopt AI capabilities as part of their resilience strategies and planning processes.
What Topics are covered
The AI-Enhanced Resilience research survey will assess enterprise resilience stakeholders across IT and Information Security to understand where AI is expected to deliver real value, what concerns remain, and how buying decisions may shift.
- Current data protection solutions and their AI capabilities (awareness vs. in use)
- Which AI capabilities customers are most interested in and how they are prioritized (e.g., AI assistants, data mining, content-based policies, automation)
- Motivators for AI adoption: need vs. want, and impact on buying or switching decisions
- Perceptions of organizational AI utilization, including benefits, risks, and concerns
- Ownership of AI enablement across IT, security, and operations teams
- Cloud and MSP platforms in use today and how AI capabilities influence platform selection
- Anticipated budget shifts in 2026 and 2027 related to AI and cyber resilience initiatives
