Agentic threats require an Agentic solution … that summarizes what was announced from Rubrik Forward 2026. If you wanted to distill the entire day into a single sentence, it would be Bipul’s declaration: “To counter AI-led attacks, we must operate at AI speed.”
I wasn’t able to squeeze all the announcements into this 3-minute summary — especially when the mapping of IT systems and orchestrated clean recoveries were among what Rubrik CPO Anneka Gupta showcased. Watch the video for more.

Agentic threats require an Agentic solution … that summarizes what was announced from Rubrik Forward 2026.
If you wanted to distill the entire day into a single sentence it would be when Bipul said “To counter AI-led attacks, we must operate at AI speed.” There is no doubt that as dire as the cybersecurity and cyber resilience landscape is, it has become exponentially more dangerous as we went overnight from being attacked at human speed to being attacked at agentic speed. So it’s no surprise that one of Rubrik’s many announcements this week was an agentic experience that spans across Rubrik Security Cloud and Rubrik Agent Cloud.
And as powerful as that is, that wasn’t my favorite announcement of the week.
As a long-time BC/DR guy, I was most excited about what Rubrik calls Autonomous Business Recovery (ABR) for cloud applications. One of the biggest gaps in most business resilience strategies is the difficulty in mapping which business processes are dependent on which IT systems; and that’s just when everything is in the building. Now when we consider distributed cloud-based applications, the complexity of understanding all of the underlying IT componentry that needs to be protected and ultimately recovered is inordinately more complex. So, a solution that discovers the myriad connections within a cloud-based application and then orchestrates a clean, prioritized set of recovery functions on those diverse components, in order to bring back a minimal viable business, was truly something impressive to see.
But wait, there’s more …
They also announced Cyber Resilience for Anthropic Claude Code. If you’ve been following DPM lately you know, we’re spinning up independent research on how AI is improving your resilience solutions as well as how you are ensuring the resilience of your AI. This announcement certainly fits in the latter category. And while lots of folks can talk about what they’re doing to protect AI, I have to admit the message landed stronger when Anthropic’s founding CISO shared the stage with Rubrik’s CPO to talk about their partnership.
There were other announcements as well, but the last one I’ll comment on was the circle of GSIs that are partnering with Rubrik for their customers’ AI success. There was a great quote from Deloitte where they said, “The question we hear from every CISO who is evaluating AI agents is not whether to deploy — it’s how to deploy responsibly.”
I’ll provide links to all the press releases in the comments and in my blog, and look for more coverage from Forward throughout the week.
In the meantime, leave your thoughts on the LinkedIn article.
